After having received the type rating for the C-R172K I did some sight seeing flights with my mother over the peninsula of South-West Finland which is really beautiful from the air. The C-R172K has a strong Continental IO-360-K engine with 195 horsepower, providing excellent climb rates and better cruise speeds than the normal C-172. It can operate to a ceiling of 17,000 feet, with a maximum range of 569 nautical miles, and a normal cruise speed of 129 knots.
